Steven Jones Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Craig Jones on July 17, 2025 at the age of 60, after a nearly two year battle with esophageal cancer.
Steven was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on March 14, 1965, residing most of his teenage and adult life in Sumner County, Tennessee, which he considered home. Steven attended Hendersonville Senior High School and met the love of his life, his beloved wife of almost 30 years, Leslie Cooke Jones in 1996.
Steven was known for his love of the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and camping with friends and family. Steven was a humble individual who exemplified pure kindness and cherished life.
Steven worked many years as the facility maintenance supervisor with Ajax Turner in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon early retirement he and his wife relocated to Summer Shade, Kentucky.
Steven is preceded in death by his father, Bob Jones; and brother Robert Jones.
He is urvived by his wife, Leslie Cooke Jones; mother, Sarah Lawson; brothers, Ken Jones and Russell Jones; niece, Cory Jones; and step-sons, James Piccone and Jonathan Piccone.
Steven's wish was to be cremated. A Celebration of Steven’s Life is going to be held at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation
Center, on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. Visitation with the family will begin one hour prior of service time.
