LTC (Retired) Steven M. Lawrence, 75, of North Versailles was called home by our Lord December 9, 2025 surrounded by his wife and children. Steven was born February 23, 1950 to the late Peter and Helen (Cosgarea) Lawrence. He married the love of his life, Linda (Seiler) Lawrence, September 1, 1973. They have three children, Stefan (Heather) Lawrence, Sarah (Jeff) Shulkosky, and Peter Lawrence. He was loved by his grandchildren, Derek and Rachel "Leilani" Lawrence, and by Letha and Iziaha Lawrence. He will be greatly missed by his siblings, Robert, Nancy, and Amy. Steve graduated from Youngstown State University in 1973, received his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army, serving on active and reserve duty for 22 years. In 1985, he trained as a Quality Assurance Specialist for Defense Logistics. Steve served his country for 37 years, traveling overseas for 10 of those years. Steve loved his family first, the military, and the defense of his country. Friends and family are welcome Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 4-7pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131. (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, director. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cupboard Stretchers Food Bank, where Steve volunteered - Sampson Mills Presbyterian Church, 1665 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.
