Steven Lovendahl Obituary

Steven Lovendahl

1977-2024

Riverton, UT-Steven was born in Salt Lake City Utah on January 27th 1977. He was the third child to Roger and JoAnn Lovendahl. Steven is survived by his daughter, Cathrine JoAnn Lovendahl, father, Roger Lovendahl, brother, David Lovendahl (Amy Lovendahl), sister Denise Lovendahl, and many nieces/nephews.

To his family, Steven will always be that blue eyed little boy with curly blonde hair that loved bugs, reptiles, and all things creepy crawly. He loved hunting, fishing, and oddly, bowling. But, most of all he loved his beautiful daughter, Cathrine.

When mom passed away, we all promised her we would take care of each other, and make time to be together. We have lived up to that! We camped, fished, went to Disney World, rafting, and many family dinners. We will miss you more than words can express.

We've decided to share Steven's story to hopefully help his friends and anyone else that takes the time to read on. You see, Steven fought addiction for many years. He got clean for his daughter and stayed that way for the last few years. But addiction is a nasty beast, it grabs on and never lets you go. Sadly Steven lost the battle in a moment of weakness, he made a choice that cost him his life. And, it cost us him.

Not a moment will go by that we won't remember you and hold you close to our hearts. We will love Cathrine for you and never let her forget how amazing you were, and how much you loved her.

Services will be held at a later date.

I was sorry to look up Steven's name, and read this. My condolences to you all, please know that he changed mine and others lives for the better... many years ago. He left the world a better place, because he was in it. Rest easy.

I am so sorry to hear about Steve's passing. Steve always had a smile on his face, and was there whenever anyone needed help, advise, or just a friend. He was so proud to be Catherine's daddy. I don't think there's ever been a time he wasn't smiling when he talked about her. To his family, I am so sorry for your loss. I am sorry for all of our loss. He will be missed.

I will always remember his deep love and caring for Catherine. He passed too soon to hear how she is thriving at school. Prayers of comfort for family and especially your sweet daughter.
