Steven Allan Magiera of Caro, age 71, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024 at his home. He was born January 31, 1953 in Caro, the son of the late Steve and Delena (LaJoie) Magiera. Steven graduated from Caro High School and dedicated over forty years to the family business, Magiera Inc., working alongside his father and brother. Following their father's passing in 1999, Steven and his brother Bill took over ownership and successfully ran the business until their retirement in 2020. Steven was a lifelong Caro resident and very well known in the community.
Steven had a love for nature and a passion for gardening, with his produce becoming a cherished treat he often shared with neighbors, friends, and local businesses. His favorite role in life was being an uncle, and he adored his nieces and nephews just as much as he enjoyed teasing them. Steven was known for his quick wit and joking personality and will be missed by family and friends deeply.
Steven leaves to cherish his memory his siblings, Marie Ann Woodson, Alana Mattlin, William (Annette) Magiera, and Marnetta Lindland; nieces and nephews, Kristen Devine, Nicole Davidson, Kaitlin Magiera (Robert Scott), Jackson (Angie) Lindland, and Adam Magiera; great-nieces and great-nephews, Nathan Devine, Aubrey Davidson, Lyra Lindland, Everett Scott, Corbin Scott, Nash Lindland, and Bodhi Lindland; and special friends, Gordon Mitchell and Rick Sattler. In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Gilkey; brothers-in-law, Bert Woodson and Richard Mallette; nephews, Charles Glen Gilkey III and Mark Devine; and great-nephew, Tyler Devine.
In keeping with Steven's wishes, a private burial has taken place at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
