Steven Matta, 65, of Dalton, Ohio, passed away on November 25, 2025, at Meadow Wind Health Care Center.
He was born on April 3, 1960, to William and Doris (Stevens) Matta at Massillon, OH. On May 27, 1978, he married Tammy Matta (Garris). Steven and Tammy lived in Massillon, Ohio. Steven worked as a Truck Driver for ACE Ready Mix Concrete. Steven was avid fan of NASCAR, racing and following the racing circuit. He loved to watch Dale Ernhart, Sr. and his racing team. He rooted him on anytime that he would hit the racetrack.
Steven is survived by his loving wife; Tammy, brother; William (Sue) Matta, sister; Anita Frazier, 3 nieces, 1 great-niece, and 3 great- nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Patty, and brother-in-law; Terry Frazier.
Per Steven's request cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his Life will take place at a later date.
The family has requested that any memorials of remembrance for Steven be a donation to any homeless shelters, Food Banks, or church charities in the Massillon and Canton area.
