Steven Barrett Miller Sr., 59, of Goochland, Virginia, passed away on June 30, 2024. He was born on January 31, 1965 in Newport News, Virginia to Garold and Nancy Miller who preceded him in death.
Steve is survived by his loving wife Debbie Franklin Miller of 22 years of marriage; brother, Garold (Dilcia); three children, Amanda (William Habansky), Kevin (Julie Mae), and Steven Jr.; two stepdaughters Casey and Brittany; three grandchildren; Trent, Barrett and Luke; niece Kelly Collier; nephew Joseph Miller; and great nephews Macon and Miles Collier.
Steve devoted his life to ensuring that his family was healthy, happy and loved. He did this with patience and a phenomenal sense of humor.
Steve was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed rabbit hunting trials including state and world trials. He loved his beagles and spent countless hours raising and training competition beagles to hunt rabbits. He enjoyed many trips all over the East Coast competing in dog trials and the camaraderie of people that liked the sport he loved best. He made a ton of friends across the eastern United States rabbit hunting.
Steve was a Master Electrician in the industrial field for ITAC as an Electrical Construction Project Superintendent. He would always be sure that he and others upheld the highest standard.
The family welcomes you to be present for a visitation at Sheridan Funeral Home, 4626 Cedar Lane Road, Kents Store, Virginia, on Saturday, July 6th, between the hours of 12:00 -1:00 PM for visitation and at 1:00 PM for a Memorial talk. Following the service, all are invited to join the family at ARC located at 111 Kents Store Way for refreshments and upbuilding conversation.
