Steven Paul Muffoletto, known to his friends and family as Steve, passed away on December 28, 2023, in Washington, D.C. He was born on March 20, 1980, in Baltimore, Maryland. Steve was a loving father, son, brother, husband, and dear friend who touched many lives throughout his journey. Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Muffoletto. He is survived by his father, John Muffoletto; his son, Hunter Muffoletto and his mother, Heather Morrison; his spouse, Nicole Hoey; his sister, Lisa Gunther; and his uncle, Bill Kinsell. He is also the dear uncle to Christopher Mills, Jordan Mills and Brynlea Gunther.
Steve dedicated 16 years of his life working at the Maryland Transit Administration in Facilities Maintenance. His commitment and hard work made a significant impact on the organization's operations. In addition to his career achievements, Steve also served in the US Army with honor and pride. He was an Honorably Discharged Veteran who upheld the values of the United States military.
Outside of work and military service, Steve had a deep love for nature. Hunting and fishing were among his favorite pastimes. He found solace in exploring the wilderness and spent countless hours enjoying these hobbies with friends and family. Steve's enthusiasm for hunting and fishing was contagious; he shared his knowledge and experiences with others, fostering a sense of camaraderie among fellow enthusiasts.
In memory of Steve Muffoletto, a memorial service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 in the Chapel at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services to celebrate his life and honor his memory. A memorial gathering will take place prior, starting at 10:30 am.
As we bid farewell to Steve Muffoletto, let us remember him for his unwavering dedication, caring nature, and zest for life. May his soul find eternal peace as we carry forward his legacy of love and kindness.
