Steven Clayton Nix, age 56 of Danieslville, GA passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. Born January 17,1969 in Athens, GA he was the son of Elaine Hill Nix and the late Harold Nix. Steven was a Lead Technician with Reliance, a lover of fishing, Nascar, and the WWE Wresting.
Steven was also a faithful public servant, where he dedicated 27 years of his life serving his friends and neighbors as the Fire Chief for the Shiloh Community. Steven was a advocate for the younger firefighters mentoring them and advocating on their behalf for proper training.
Left to cherish his memory in addition to mother Elaine Hill Nix (Robert Meadows) is his wife Diane (Sorrells) Nix, daughters Ashlee Nix, and Morgan Nix (Blake Martin),a brother Timothy Nix (Renee). Steven was a loving and devoted "Grandpa" to Baylee Drew Martin as well his future grandson "Baby Martin".
The family is at their respective home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
