Steven Patrick Parthemore, a beloved figure known for his easy-going personality and affectionate spirit, passed away on December 22, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 76. Born on February 14, 1949, in Huntington, West Virginia, Steven graced the lives of many with his approachable demeanor and his unwavering support as a parent.
Steven dedicated much of his life to his career at a bookstore, where he shared his love for reading and fostered connections with the community. Beyond his professional life, he had a wealth of interests that enriched his days, including a passion for football, playing cards, and collecting coins and tools. He engaged wholeheartedly in these pastimes, often bringing friends and family together for joyful gatherings.
Steven's military service in the Marines showcased his dedication and commitment, values he continued to exemplify throughout his life. His family and friends often remarked on his fun-loving and caring nature, as he was always there for them, creating cherished memories that will endure.
He is survived by his loving children: Ann Sims (Danny), Steven Parthemore Jr, (Kristina) William Parthemore, and Michael Parthemore, along with a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren who adored him. They will miss his gentle presence and the warmth he brought into their lives.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents, William and Alma Parthemore, and his daughter-in-law, Liza Marie Parthemore and a grandson baby Will.
A graveside service will be held in his honor on January 9, 2026, at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio, beginning at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate the life of this remarkable man, whose legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in their hearts.
