Dear Passero Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Steve at Brockport Central School District years ago. He was very dedicated to our students with disabilities, always making sure we provided the best instruction, related services and caring environment for our children. It was a great pleasure to work with him for so many years.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Deb Waye

I worked with Steve at Brockport. He always impressed me by knowing each student by name and their interests. He always put the needs of students as a priority and made the students feel they were important. I am sorry for your loss.

I worked with Steve over several years at Brockport Central SD when I was Instructional Specialist & again for many years when I was a Monroe2 BOCES Supervisor. It was a pleasure working with Steve as he always advocated for students and did whatever he could to help families. I have fond memories of our BOCES PPS meetings when Steve could always be counted on to bring his smile & expertise to the table.
May Almighty God bring peace & comfort to his family.

Mike Batsford - friend and playing partner at Wildwood

March 7, 2025

How can two guys that played so well all weekend (Bethpage flight winners) look so glum? One lousy lipped out putt that would have won the Wildwood Member-Member tournament championship, dang, but that's golf. Stevie was a great competitor and a great partner for many years. I miss you Steve, my condolences and best wishes to Bonnie and your family - Mike Batsford

Mr. Passero was my fourth-grade teacher in Canandaigua circa 1980-81. I will never forget his positive attitude, his willingness to play football with us EVERY day, and his love of the Jets & Mets (a love we shared!) I am now entering my 30th year as an educator myself and looking back it was Mr. Passero, Mr. Snyder (5th) and Mr. Plyter (6th) who helped mold me at that young age and helped inspired my future in education. Those male teachers made such a difference in my youth, and I can still see Mr. Passero's smile.

Rest in Peace, Mr. P. Thanks for filling my elementary years with such fond memories. --Mark Taeschner, Port Republic, MD

Thinking of you, Uncle Steve, with your easy-going vibe and wonderful smile. You were such a big part of our Dad's life after the divorce and we always remember how you guys used to laugh together and even as kids, we knew how much that helped. Thank you for being such a bright light for us all. When the Mets & Jets win in the future, we'll know it's because of you. Sending our deepest sympathy to Bonnie, Katie Jo, Kourtney and your entire family. Love, Alli, Jeff & Jen Schultz (Fred's kids) xoxoxo

Dear family,
I worked with Steve at Brockport Central. Our daughters were the same age and I remember how proud he was of all of their accomplishments. He loved his family very much. I´m sure he will be missed.
