Steven J. Poirier

Steven J. Poirier, 62, of Russell Blvd, Bradford, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026, at his residence.

Born March 25, 1963, in Syracuse NY, he was a son of the late Ruth Elaine Osgood and Frederick J. Bodurtha.

Steve attended high school in Utica NY. On April 16, 1980, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served as a Security Supervisor. He was honorably discharged on May 15, 1984. He later graduated with a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Syracuse. He later taught himself how to program.

He was employed at Electronic Data Systems, later Hewlett Packard, and Humana.

Steve enjoyed camping, reading, woodworking, and he was an avid hiker.

Surviving are three children, Alissa (Rich) Tanner, of Smethport, Colin P. Poirier, of Turtlepoint, and Kyle Heter of Turtlepoint, and their mother Lorraine Poirier, three grandchildren, Izzy Tanner, Arthur Tanner, and Charles Tanner, three sisters, Diane Poirier, Susan Holland, Catherine (Dan) Lawton, and two nephews and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Karen Cecile.

At this time no services are planned. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
