Steven Potes Obituary
He was born to Elwin (Tim) and Sally Potes (Tomlinson) on July 13th 1954 in Grand Rapids MI. Steve enjoyed working with his hands as a master carpenter and builder for over 40 years. Steve also enjoyed traveling across the country, camping and listening to music.
Steve is survived by his loving wife Patricia; stepchildren, Jessica Mayer, and Mac Mayer; his siblings Sue Seward (Potes), Mike Seward, and Carol Capek; his 6 grand children and many other nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, Tim and Sally Potes as well as his younger brother Timothy Potes.
The family would like to thank the staff at Corewell Health Hospice for their unwavering care and compassion toward Steve.
There will be a "Celebration of Life" for Steve open to the public from 2:00pm until 5:00pm on Sunday September 17th, 2023, at the Moose lodge on Division St. in Sparta MI. There will be sharing of food and stories as those were some of Steve's favorite things.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to offer an expression of sympathy are encouraged to please make a memorial contribution to Corewell Health Hospice. They are incredible.
