Steven Ray Obituary
Steven was born in Manchester, TN, to his late parents Jessie Wayne Ray and Frances Louise Mayton Ray. He worked as a maintenance engineer for Lasko and was of the Christian faith. Steven attended Westwood Elementary School and was a graduate of Coffee County High School. He then went on to obtain his bachelor's degree and became an engineer. In his free time, he loved playing guitar, was an avid jokester, and enjoyed doing ancestry work and learning more about his family heritage.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by aunts and uncles, Elaine Thomas, Truman Mayton, Jerry Ray, and Bobbie Ruth Cheny.
Steven is survived by aunts and uncles, David Mayton, Gayle Mayton, John Mayton, and Larry Ray; several cousins.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, at 11:00am in the chapel of Central Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Coffee Co.

Sorry for your loss. I worked with him many years. He was a good friend and made me happy with his humor. Constantly receiving texts from him with cool cars that he liked. He will be missed greatly. Jay Farmer
