Send FlowersSteven A. Saylors, 69, Marion, passed away at 2:18 am on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Monday, August 1, 1955, to Willie and Mary (Gosnell) Saylors.
Steven was a remarkable individual who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He attended Marion High School and later worked in Security with Essex Wiring. His passion for music was evident as he played guitar in several bands over the years, with a particular fondness for country and southern rock music. Steven's love for teaching others to play guitar highlighted his generous and kind-hearted nature. Above all, his deep love for his family and friends was a testament to his warm and caring soul.
Survivors include his daughter, Amanda (Matt) Kindley of Converse; son, Michael Saylors of Amboy; grandson, Gage Kindley; sisters, Barbara J. Patrick of Marion, Beverly J. (the late Jerry) Marley of Marion, Gail D. (Steve) Goodpaster of Van Buren, Karen Womack of Winter Haven, FL, and Melinda (Jerry) Sweeten of Denver; brothers, Danny (Charmayne) Saylors of Marion, Linnie (Fenna) Saylors of LaFontaine, and Troy Saylors of Wabash; several nieces, nephews, and friends; and the mother of his children, Patricia Saylors.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Steven's life will begin at 1:00 pm with his nephew, Nathan Graves, officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.

My condolences to all the Saylors family. My favorite memory of Stevie is when, back in the day, they came to my house occasionally and sang and played their guitars. Rest in peace Steve.
