Steven Wayne Schuessler

Steven Wayne Schuessler, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, was born on January 24, 1951, in Concordia, KS. He was the beloved son of Thomas and Mildred (Allen) Schuessler, who raised him in the rural community of Washington, KS.

Steve graduated from Washington High School in 1969 and went on to attend Kanas State University. In 1975, he settled in Hutchinson, KS where he worked as a welder and technician at Farmarco, Doskocils, and Collins Bus.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia, and his beloved son, Andy, whose memory is carried with him always.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne, with whom he shared 24 years. He is also survived by his daughters, Erin Schuessler of Overland Park and Emily Schuessler of Wichita, whom he shared with his former wife, Constance Hatch of Burlington, KS. Additionally, he is survived by his brothers, Mike Schuessler of Washington, KS; three granddaughters, Alyssa, Jenna and Avery.

Steve was known for his kind spirit, quick humor, and love of country western shows.

Per Steve's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are being handled through Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, Hutchinson, KS.
