Steven Sims

My heart and prayers go out to the family for the loss of Steven Sims. I knew Steven from our running days of cross country and track and field. Steven always knew how to light up the room and make everyone smile. I cherished the moments we did have during our running days and always loved how passionate and competitive Steven was against me in running. I am sorry for the loss of my dear friend and I´m sorry we didn´t get to run again another time. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again .

Steven was one of the kindest souls a person could ever know in high school. As silly as he was he always wore a cross around his neck and spoke of his love for Jesus unapologetically. There was rarely a moment where when I saw Steven whether directly or across a room or hallway that he wasn't absolutely beaming that incredible smile he always would show the world. I remember teasing him on the consistent track wear but man did he love to run. He was incredible at it and you can see how much he truly found solitude in doing so. Steven was a light to this earth and I'll never forget that when I walked the halls of South view feeling invisible or broken, he always saw the good in me and always warmed my spirit with the best Steven Hugs. R.I.P dear Friend, I know you found Heaven and I pray its everything we thought it might be even better than that. <3

I am sorry Steven. I am sorry how things turned out and how there were never the resources to really help you. I hope that you are with god now and that he is compensating for the hardship you endured on Earth. RIP Steven.
