Steven was born June 20, 1954 at Piqua Memorial Hospital in Piqua, Ohio to the late Patricia (Nolan) Smith & Larry Slade. He was a 1972 graduate of Covington High School in Ohio, he worked with NASA as an Aerospace Engineer. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness Church & was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Slade.
Survivors include, son, Kyle (Virginia) Slade of Covington, Ohio; grandchildren, Samantha (Caleb) Slade of Jackson Center, Ohio, Tucker (Lucinda) Gudorf-Wolaver of Silverdale, WA, Dawson Slade & Graceanne Slade both of Covington, Ohio; great grandson, Caden Withrow; sister, Sandra (Sarah) Riddle of Anderson, South Carolina; step-father, Paul Smith of Covington, Ohio; roommates, Bryan Sargent & nephew, Phyllis Sargent of Gainesville, GA.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
