Obituary of Steven G. "Scooter" Stack Jr.
Steven was embraced by his Savior on Monday, November 18, 2024. He was predeceased by his son Samuel, age 14 mo., Grandmom, age 83, and Grandad, age 71
After attending Pearland High School, Steven studied culinary arts in Barcelona, Spain for 3 years, graduating with a degree from Escuela De Hosteleria Hofmann. Anxious to return to his homeland, he worked as a chef in Houston, California and New York.
Steven truly loved Jesus, and while living in the Houston area, he made Clear Creek Community Church his place of worship. Later, Steven and Kristen attended Epiphany Lutheran Church.
At age 37, Steven fell in love, married Kristen, and started his beautiful family. As his family grew, he decided to enroll in College of the Mainland to pursue a degree that would enable him to work as a petroleum operator. He graduated on the Dean's List with honors and landed jobs at Lyondell and Dow Chemical.
Steven will forever be remembered by his loving wife Kristen, and his beautiful children, Hannah, Ruby, and Ethan, his step-son, Jude, his mother, Donna and her husband Steve Sluder, his father, Steve Stack, his sisters Lauren and her husband Steven Meraz, Sami and her husband John Clay, Rachel Lijic and her husband Nick, brothers Christopher Stack, Justin Sluder and his wife Courtney, Shane Sluder and his wife Jasmine, niece, Riley, nephews, Malachi, Cecil, Henry, George, Leon, Tristan, and Joshua, Uncle Trey, Aunt Tracy and Uncle Jeff, Aunt Lynn and her husband Jeff, eight cousins, Brian, Jason, Heather, Branch, Spencer, TreyAnn, Kristin, and Justin, his mother-in-law, Debbie Oravetz, his father in-law, Alan Oravetz and his wife Cheryl, along with many dear friends.
