One year, I went to the 24 Hours of Daytona race with Stevenson Sr., and Jr., Paulie and some of Paulie's friends . One of our off track activities was racing go carts across the street from the Daytona International Speedway. Steve Sr., knew how to protect the inside lane which kept me from passing. lets just say there was a lot of bumping and rubbing and I finally got past. We were laughing so hard!! It was great! That whole weekend was great and we all shared some great moments and laughs. He will be missed by me.

Over the years, we had many fun and exciting Porsche adventures with Steve and MaryAnn. One of our very favorites was the weekend we had in Daytona in 2014. We shared a condo, the races, dinner at Mario's Italian and much laughter and merriment. We are so very thankful to have the privilege of having them as our special friends. We will miss Steve very much and treasure his friendship, and all of those precious times together in our hearts.

Our love and prayers are with MaryAnn and all of her dear family,

Herman & Michelle Porter

My best memories of uncle Steve, as I used to call him (I knew Steve through my wife, his niece, Amy). A few years ago I stayed with Steve and his wonderful wife, Maryanne, in Charleston. After dinner that night the next morning he took me on a tour of the Citadel in his beautiful Porsche. I´ll never forget the stories he told as he passed through the campus. I will miss him.

Steve and his dear wife Mary Ann helped welcome me and my husband when we moved to Charleston in 2016. We felt so fortunate to have found such wonderful neighbors! I enjoyed many fun talks with Steve, and we shared lots of great conversations about our families, his cars, and his exciting life adventures. And somehow he was always there every time I accidentally backed my car down the driveway, straight into my garbage bins on trash day, which always turned an embarrassing moment into a good laugh. What an amazing, unique, and truly great man. I will miss him a lot, and feel so lucky to have known him.
