Stevie Jefferson Fountain, 70, life partner of Melanie Parsons, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at his home in Johnsonville.

A son of the late S.E. and Goldie Burgess Fountain, Stevie spent most of his life in his beloved home state of Arkansas, where he graduated from Calico Rock High School. He went on to build a career in the printing industry, working as a supervisor for Tension Envelope Corporation. His dedication and work ethic left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him.

Later in life, Stevie's journey took a heartfelt turn when he met his life partner, Melanie. Introduced by a mutual friend, their connection blossomed over two years of long-distance phone conversations. Eventually, Stevie made the decision to move to South Carolina to be with her-a testament to the strength of their bond and his commitment to love.

Stevie had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He found joy and peace in fishing and hunting-pastimes that connected him to nature and brought him countless hours of contentment.

In addition to his life partner, Melanie, Stevie is survived by daughters: Goldie Newell, and Tia Fountain; sons: Stevie Cassidy, Patrick Parsons, RJ Fountain, Spencer (Megan) Mobley, and Noah (Christina) Mobley; grandchildren: Scarlett Rose Mobley, JT Mobley, and Bella Evans; and siblings: Irene Paul, Anna Mae Clark, Richard Fountain, Lena Barker, Bonnie Cooper, and Carolyn Cheetum.

In addition to his parents, Stevie was predeceased by two siblings: JW Fountain and James Edward Fountain.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Stevie's memory to Shriners' Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Memorial services will be private.

Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway will be assisting the family with arrangements.
