He was born on January 16, 1968 in Spencer, WV: he was the son of the late Steven Lewis Hughes and Annettia Pearl Mullins Hughes.
Stevie was a Mason, tree trimmer, mechanic and a carpenter. He enjoyed helping neighbors and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors are his wife of 22 years, Lawana Jean Vest Hughes; sisters, Katherine (Donald Runion of Spencer, WV, Norma Jean of Texas, Cindy (Roger) Moats of Spencer, WV and Billy Jo Chandler of Spencer; step-father to 5 children and grandfather and great grandfather to 30; extended family and friends.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the funeral home to defray costs.
