Stevie Parks was born August 9, 1957 to the union of Franklin and Earlene Parks in Kansas City, Ks. He
was baptized at St. AME Zion Church. Stevie graduated from JC Harmon High School, Kansas City, KS.
where he met and married his high school sweetheart Lois Taylor. Lois was by his side through his many
hospital stays and with him when he transitioned this world. Lois and Stevie have one son Marcus who
currently resides in Sasebo, Japan. The love of Stevie's life is his son Marcus, daughter-in-law Seiko, and
grandson Shiobue. He enjoyed talking about their travels and accomplishments.
Stevie was an independent, family orientated person. He enjoyed fishing, baseball and cooking. He was
a brilliant, creative artist, enjoyed music and was a great family historian. Stevie loved his Kansas City
Chiefs.
Stevie worked for Jim Plunkett, various Kansas City lumbar companies, and Complex Productions.
Stevie leaves to cherish his memories his son, Marcus (Seiko and grandson Shiobue), siblings Lucretia
Parks, Franklin Parks, and Tanya Quaco (Tolliver). He leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,
cousins and an abundance of friends. The family wishes to acknowledge a very special friend, Stefan
Smith who was always by Stevie's side.
Stevie departed life on Friday, October 24, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents Earline and
Franklin Parks and his brother Derrick Parks.
