Steward Barnaba Jr. was born on May 30, 1930, in Prairie Laurent, Louisiana, to the late Steward and Alexzina Barnaba. In 1952, Steward moved to Texas, where he began a long and faithful career with Rohm & Haas. Shortly thereafter, he married Esther Marie Nichols, on July 24, 1954. Their devoted union was blessed with four daughters: Sheila, Mary, Angela, and Eugenia.

Steward was a gifted carpenter whose skill and craftsmanship were evident in the custom cabinetry he built for countless homes. After more than four decades of service, he retired from Rohm & Haas in 1994.

Steward was a devoted member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, where he served faithfully with the Knights of Peter Claver, Court 98. He was also a proud member of the I.S.F.B.S. in Prairie Laurent, Louisiana.

Steward was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esther Marie Nichols Barnaba; his daughter, Mary Barnaba St. Romain; his parents, Steward and Alexzina Barnaba; his sisters, Climmie Auzenne, Leola Barnaba, Madeline Guidry, and Mable Auzenne; and his brothers, Oswold Barnaba, Peter Claven Barnaba, and his twin brother, Steve Barnaba.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughters: Sheila (Melvin) DeBose, Angela (Willie) Dalcour, and Eugenia "Gena" (Paul) Carter; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.
