Dirk was my first supervisor when I started with the U.S. Forest Service. We worked together for several years until I moved to Redding. We had some great times in McCloud and also playing table tennis on weekends. Great guy.

So many fantastic memories! One that stands out is the love for Robert Service poetry! My thoughts are with you, Sue and Sarah.

A true friend and good neighbor. Once you met Dirk you knew he was the kind of person that was sincere and fun to be around. He was a devoted husband, father and good neighbor. We valued our time with the Chandlers and have many precious memories as did anyone that knew Dirk and Sue.
