Stuart Leonard Cannon was born on March 17, 1939, to Albert "Wayne" and Carol Cannon. On March 3, 2026, he passed away with the love of his life, Judy and daughter-in-law Bengie Hansen. He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Carol; his sister Patricia; brother Bruce "Butch"; and daughter Connie Cannon Bache.
While Stu's life ended tragically, he lived a full life filled with great friends, family, and adventures. After graduating from Libby Public Schools, Stu joined the service on June 20, 1956, and was honorably discharged on February 19, 1960. While stationed in Okinawa he met and married Yoko Tamaki. They returned to the US and had four children Monica, Connie, Steve, and Kelly. Later Stu met and married Judy Butts Hansen on January 27, 1996. They traveled while Stu was helicopter logging and fished halibut in Alaska. They enjoyed camping with friends and family.
Stu is survived by his brother Larry; his children Monica (Joe), Steve (Kim) and Kelly; stepchildren Dean (Tina), Brien, Karen (Jeff), and Vera (Todd); grandchildren Scott (Becky), Bobbi (Brian), Clayton (Ashley), Alex, Lacy (Luke), Skyler, Jake (Brianna), Talyn (Hannah), Colton (Taryne), Trevor, Haylee (Tyler), and Hannah (Benny); great grandchildren Isabell, Allyson, Olivia, Shade, Chase, Brinly, Teylor (Ashton), Lane, Jackson, Tanner, Hudson, Hollie, Lilah, Lakelynn, Camden, and Hensley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
