Stuart Robert Hanzlik

Stuart Robert Hanzlik, 49, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away on January 1, 2026. He was born in Ventura, California on October 6, 1976 to Edward Hanzlik and Roberta (Helton) Hanzlik.
Stuart grew up in Katy, Texas playing basketball, swimming, and enjoying time with his brothers. He managed the volleyball team in high school and was a lifeguard at Fame City Waterworks. After high school, Stuart attended Baylor University where he earned a degree in Management of Information Systems.
While at Baylor, Stuart met Kristine (Kristi) Haverlah. The two married on December 30, 2000 in Round Rock after graduation. Stuart started his career with the Legislative Budget Board and spent over twenty years working with the Texas Department of Transportation.
Stuart and Kristi welcomed their first child, James (Jimmy) in 2007 and second son, Christopher, in 2010. Being a husband and father was Stuart's true joy. He was fiercely proud of his sons' many accomplishments, but mostly of the fine young men they were becoming. Stuart enjoyed reading, powerlifting, woodworking, gaming with his sons, and spending time with his family. He bravely pushed through many health obstacles and always had faith that one day he would rest peacefully in the arms of his Savior.
Stuart was preceded in death by his father, Ed Hanzlik. He is survived by his wife Kristi, and sons, Jimmy and Christopher, of Round Rock, Texas, mother, Roberta Hanzlik of Georgetown, Texas, two brothers, Jeremy Hanzlik and his wife, Jessica of San Antonio, Texas, and Evan Hanzlik and his wife, Stephanie of Kerville, Texas, nieces Alison and Emily and nephew Edward, uncle Richard Helton and his wife Robin of Carlisle, Iowa, and uncle Stephen Helton of Houston, Texas and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 11:00 at Palm Valley Lutheran Church, Round Rock, Texas.
