Mrs Phillips, Joel Leah and Jason, I cannot express the depth of the sadness I feel. Since 1974, Mr. Phillips has been a part of my life. I know how much he means to you and he will be mourned by more people than you know. I love you all.

As a kid, I met Stu Phillips at St. Bartholomew church where my grandmother attended. He was such a gentleman, a smooth singer, and full of faith and family. As a kid and now I love the Grand ol Opry. They don't make em like him anymore. My heart and prayers go to his family and fans. I am grateful most of all for his faith in our Lord Jesus. May that grace be sufficient to comfort his family.
