Subhash Dahyalal Khant, age 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in India on September 3, 1945, Subhash was the beloved son of Dahyalal and Zaverben Khant and the third of four brothers. He pursued his education with dedication, earning a degree in engineering, which laid the foundation for a life defined by perseverance, integrity, and hard work.
In 1971, Subhash married the love of his life, Narmada Khant, beginning a partnership rooted in devotion, resilience, and mutual respect. At the age of 36, Subhash and Narmada moved to Kenya, where they spent 25 years building a life together. During this time, Subhash successfully established and ran his own business through determination and entrepreneurial spirit. It was in Kenya that they raised their four daughters—Amisha, Hema, Purvi, and Niya—instilling in them strong values of family, education, and compassion.
In 2002, after retiring, Subhash moved to the United States to help raise his first grandchild, embracing this new chapter of life with joy and pride. Family was always at the center of Subhash’s world. His favorite pastime was being with his family, and he was known for his warm heart, gentle wisdom, and genuine love for people.
Subhash was a devoted Nana, Papa, husband, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife Narmada, his four daughters, his seven grandchildren, extended family, and his many dear friends across the globe.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a local food pantry in his memory.
