Sue Baker Obituary
in Lexington, Kentucky, while surrounded by her daughters. She was born on November 26th, 1944 to the late
Eldon & Loretta Brooks Chasteen in Cartersville, KY. She was a member of Valley Baptist Church. Sue enjoyed
reading, working puzzles, playing cards, and spending precious time with her family.
Survivors include

Connie & Husband, Jeff Thompson
Jenny & Husband, Tommy Schuler
Kimberly Adams
Four Grandchildren:
Scott & Wife, Samantha Thompson
Kayla & Husband, Kyle Isaacs
Brett & Wife, April Foster
Christopher & Wife, Jennifer Foster
Five Great Grandchildren:
Zelda Thompson, Gwilym Thompson, Kalisie Foster, Sebastian Foster, and Lillith Foster.
One Sister, Jean Simpson
One Brother, Ray Chasteen
A Host of Nieces, Nephews, cousins, & friends
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by one daughter, Terri Ann Foster; former husband, Gary
Baker; two brothers William Earl & James "Jim" Chasteen; four sisters Etta Rogers, Cora Callahan, Betty Eldridge,
and Linda Roberts.
Special thanks to the staff members of both Rockcastle Regional Hospital & St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington for
rendering exceptional and loving care.
Funeral Date and Time: Friday, May 22nd, 2026 at 11 AM at McKnight Funeral Home at 147 Main Street, Crab
Orchard, Kentucky 40419
Officiating Ministers: Bro. Mike McFerron & Bro. Tony Shelton
Place of Burial: Wilmot Chapel Cemetery, Copper Creek Road, Crab Orchard, Kentucky
Visitation: Thursday, May 21st, 2026 from 6 PM to 9 PM at McKnight Funeral Home
Pallbearers: Jeff Thompson, Tommy Schuler, Brett Foster, Christopher Foster, Dewayne Simpson, and Glen
Adams.
Honorary Pallbearers Include: Kevin Shelton, Lucas Shelton, Eldon Simpson, Dalton Simpson, Derek Adams,
Jacob Collinsworth, Caleb Collinsworth, and Kyle Isaacs.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Wilmot Chapel Cemetery Mowing Fund, mailing address of
