Sue Fisher Seeger Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 23, 2025.
The Reverend Sue Fisher Seeger, loving sister, daughter, and aunt, passed away peacefully on September 10th, 2025 at age 86. Sue was born July 4th, 1939 in Natick MA, to the late Alvan Fisher and Florence Fisher. She is survived by her sister Florence Fisher Krejci and predeceased by her brother, Alvan Fisher Jr.

Sue received her BA from Middlebury College and had an accomplished career as a book editor for Ginn and Company. She later received a Master's Degree from Harvard University, and studied at Episcopal Divinity School in preparation for her 2006 ordination as a Deacon in the Episcopal Church. She served at St. John's (Charlestown), and Church of Our Savior and Christ Church (Cambridge). She volunteered for many years, providing pastoral care at Spaulding Hospital. She was fiercely committed to social justice, and was an active supporter of Boston's LGBTQ and immigrant communities.

Sue was proud of being a part of a long line of Fisher women - strong, independent regardless of age, and full of courage, compassion, intelligence, and humor.

All are welcome at a celebration of Sue's life:
