COLUMBIA - Service for Sue Chandler Harbison, 82, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Shandon United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends in the Wesley Fellowship Room following the service. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Kentucky. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family locally and Milward Funeral Home is assisting in Lexington. Mrs. Harbison died Friday, March 07, 2008. Born in Paintsville, Ky., she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Hazel Vivian Fannin Chandler and attended Eastern Kentucky University. Active at Shandon United Methodist Church, she was a member of the Good Will Sunday School Class and McEachern-Toney Circle as well as a lifetime member of WSCS and UMW. She was also a devoted Girl Scout leader and member of Peaks Mill Homemakers Club, Younger Women�s Club, Altruistic Society and American Women�s Club (Hong Kong, Cairo and Bangkok). She also served as a volunteer at the American Service Men�s Reception Center in Hong Kong. Surviving are her husband, John Robert �Bob� Harbison; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Lee Harbison Bellows and Scott H. Bellows of Columbia; grandchildren, Chandler Bellows Buckley, Robert Howard Bellows and Martha Whitney Bellows, all of Columbia; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Lane Buckley and James Tyler Buckley; sister, Martha Joe Cox of Paintsville, Ky.; sister-in-law, Irene S. Chandler of Seattle, Wash.; brother-in-law, James M. Harbison and his wife, Carole of Asheville, N.C.; sister-in-law, Betty Ann Parker and her husband, RC of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shandon United Methodist Church, 3407 Devine Street, Columbia, SC 29205
