Sue Marie Woods Hill, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, at the age of 89. Born March 14, 1936, in Lewisburg, TN, she was the daughter of the late Joe Tom and Marie Woodward Woods.
Sue is remembered for her unwavering commitment to family, deep faith, and compassionate nature. A dedicated banking professional, she fostered relationships in her career that reflected her caring spirit. She found joy in reading, particularly the Bible, which was a cornerstone of her life and faith.
She is survived by her son, Joe Wallace Hill (Antonia); granddaughter, Carrie Hooten (Steve); great-grandson, Franklin Tripp Hooten; as well as a niece, a nephew, several cousins, many friends, and her cherished congregation at First Presbyterian Church of Lewisburg. Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband, Franklin M. Mac Hill, her parents, and her brother, William "Bill" Carl Woods.
A graveside service will be held to honor Sue’s life and legacy at Round Hill Cemetery on February 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the remarkable life of Sue Marie Hill, who touched the hearts of all who knew her.
