Sue Jane (Ring) Klinkner
June 27, 1943 – March 22, 2025
Sue Jane (Ring) Klinkner, age 81, of Albertville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
Sue was born on June 27, 1943, in Minneapolis, MN, to Cecil and MayJoy (Riley) Ring.
She grew up in Bloomington and later moved with her family to Stubbs Bay, Lake Minnetonka and graduated from Orono High School.
In 1963, Vern first noticed Sue-and the fact that she had a pretty nice car. When fate (or just bad luck) left her with a flat tire, Vern was quick to step in, kicking off not just a repair job but a life together. They were engaged on Valentine's Day in 1964 and married on August 8, building a life together filled with family, hard work, and plenty of great stories.
Sue and Vern raised four daughters: Tina, Tammi, Tricia, and Tonia. They moved a few times before settling on a 2.5-acre hobby farm north of Albertville.
While raising her daughters, she ran an in-home daycare. Later, she worked at WMW in Osseo, earning the respect of her colleagues with her hard work and dedication. Sue knew how to enjoy life-she worked hard and played even harder. She had a way of livening up any room she entered, effortlessly connecting with others and leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
An extrovert, Sue made lasting friendships wherever she went. She enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies throughout her life, including meat raffles and bingo, and had a knack for playing cards like no other. She also found great joy in creating blankets with Swedish weaving techniques and intricate beaded jewelry. Sue also had a unique talent for zipper art, always surprising those around her with her creativity.
Sue is survived by her daughters, Tina (Tim) Eull, Tammi Pierson, Tricia Klinkner, and Tonia Klinkner (fiancé Kirk Clermont). She was a proud grandmother to Tori (Yevgeniy) Godnyuk, Mitchell (Kira) Eull, Tessa (Dylan) Alonzo, Cassandra (Adam) Koopmeiners, Ashley (Jake) Cluka, Anna (Micah) Sickmann, Jaricha Klinkner, and Jayden Klinkner. She was also blessed with 16 great-grandchildren.
Sue is also survived by her siblings, Pat (Bruce) Bunting, Kathi Schauer, Rita DeFrang, Mary Ring and Luella Heiling.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Luverne Klinkner; her parents, Cecil and MayJoy (Riley) Ring; and her brothers, Bill Ring and Craig Ring.
A gathering to honor and remember Sue will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Liberty Bar in St. Michael, MN.
All who knew and loved Sue are welcome to join in celebrating her life.

I remember Sue from when was growing up and then again in recent years when she moved into Engel Haus Assisted Living where my Mom lived. If Sue was out when I saw Mom, she would say hi. I loved the infectious smile on her face.
