Sue Ellen Powell, 61 of Stoney Beach, Maryland passed away on June 5, 2021. Sue was born on February 16, 1960 in Biloxi, Mississippi to Frances Lee Powell and the late John W. Powell, Lt. Colonel, USAF, retired. Sue is survived by her beloved husband, Darrell Abed; and loving step-children, Clare and Dan. She was an amazing Grandmother to Patrick and JJ; beloved sister of David, Don and Beth; and loving Aunt to Ben, Mike and Bryan.
Sue was always ready for fun and adventure, never met a stranger, and had a profound love for children, family and animals. If anyone needed anything she was the first to reach out and help in any way she could.
She was taken from us much too soon, but if life is measured by kindness, then she lived a full life. Sue will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. We will always have the love she has left behind.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue SW (at Crain Hwy.) Glen Burnie on Sunday, June 13th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in her memory to the Anne Arundel SPCA.
