Sue Schiltz Obituary
Sue Ellen (Tate) Schiltz, 78, of Findlay, died Thursday, December 4, 2025, surrounded by those she cared for the most, her loving family.
Sue was born June 27, 1947, in Findlay, to the late Charles and Florine (Gillespie) Tate. She married Roy William "Bill" Schiltz, and he survives.
Sue is also survived by her son, Charles "Chuck" (Wendy) Schiltz; grandchildren, Logan (Josh Tavenier) Schiltz, Jenna (Zach Altvater) Schiltz, and Ross Schiltz; stepgrandchildren, Justin (Lisa) Jolliff, Max (Avery) Jolliff, and Will Jolliff; great-grandchildren, Preston and Olivia; stepgreat-grandchildren, Archer and Molly; siblings, James Mac (Carole) Tate and Barbara (Steven) Mewhorter; and best friend, LouAnn Martin.
She was preceded in death by her son, James "Jimmy" Schiltz; and siblings, Mary Jean Tate, Linda Ann Patterson, and Charles "Ron" Tate.
Sue was kindhearted and soft-spoken, but her contagious laughter and smile could make anyone's heart light up. Family was everything to Sue. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought her endless joy, which she shared with all those around her. She was incredibly understanding and always gave the benefit of the doubt. Sue saw the good in people. Always.
A Celebration of Life for Sue will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Crates Life Appreciation Centre, Findlay. Pastor Deb Dickerson will preside. Arrangements are being handled by COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.
Memorial contribu-tions may be made in Sue's honor to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Findlay, and/or American Cancer Society.
