Sukhbir Singh Obituary
A dedicated farmer, Sukhbir cultivated a variety of tree nuts and fruits throughout Sutter County and the Central Valley, laying the foundation for his family's prosperity. He lived a simple yet full life, deeply connected to his family, community, and faith.
Sukhbir was preceded in death by his wife, Gurmit K. Rai, and his parents, Sohan S. Rai and Lashman Kaur. He is survived by his daughter, Gurdish K. Dhugga and son-in-law Amrik S. Dhugga; son, Paul S. Rai and daughter-in-law Inderjeet K. Rai; and son, Ranjit S. Rai and daughter-in-law Satinderbeer K. Rai, all of Yuba City. He is also survived by his brother, Sukhdev S. Rai of Atwater, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
On behalf of the family, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sukhbir's care team, Dr. N. Bajwa, Dr. N. Basra, and Dr. Erica Byrd for their compassion and dedicated care.
A prayer service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, with Giani Ishvar Singh of Sri Guru Nanak Sikh Temple, Bogue Road, Yuba City. Following the service, the final Bhog ceremony will be held at Sri Guru Nanak Sikh Temple, Bogue Road.
