Suneetha Mooss Obituary
Suneetha Mooss, 53, of Knoxville Tennessee passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 2, 2023 after a battle with cancer.
She was born in India to Dr. Vasudevan and Savithry Mooss in 1970. Her family moved to Streator in 1976. Suneetha always wanted to become a doctor and follow in the footsteps of her father and become a pediatrician. She graduated from Streator High School in 1987 and attended Illinois Wesleyan University, where she graduated in 1991 with a degree in biology. She earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois in 1995 and completed her residency in pediatrics at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City in 1998.
For over 15 years, she owned and practiced at Pediatric Consultants of Lenoir City, Tennessee, where she touched the lives of countless children and families.
She is survived by her daughters, Kirren and Kyla Miller; parents, Savithry and Vasudevan Mooss; sister, Susmita (Sanjay) Mansukhani, brother, Sujay Mooss; nephews, Rohan and Sachin Mansukhani .
Funeral services occurred on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Knoxville, Tennessee .
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

I am just hearing this news today, unfortunately a few months after her passing. I had the absolute privilege and honor to get to know her while working in the Emergency Department. Our heart goes out to the family. We are saddened to hear of Dr.Mooss passing. My children adored her and had been seeing her since 2010. My children both truly loved seeing her at their appointments. Most children are afraid of going to the doctor but seeing Dr.Mooss was always a highlight. She will be missed by many including our family.

I am so sad to have received word that Dr. Mooss is no longer here. Our hearts are broken and we send our condolences to her family. She was a beautiful person who took excellent care of all three of my grandchildren for the past 7 years. So caring and gentle. She will be missed by all that knew her. RIP

Dr. Mooss it has been such an honor to know you for over 12 years. You have taken such excellent care of my boys. I remember when you would personally call to talk with one of the boys when they reached a huge milestone in teen years. You would call to tell them how proud you were of them. You took care of my babies who are now 20 and 15 like they were your babies. I always tried to convince you to go into internal medicine/pediatrics so you could keep the boys into adulthood. To Dr. Mooss family: Dr. Mooss has made a huge impact on my children´s lives and mine. And so many others! To her daughters whom I would always ask how you both were doing. She had the motherly glow and the biggest beautiful smile on her face telling us during our visits of both of your accomplishments.

Her bedside manner was unmatched. She shared valuable knowledge with every question we asked her. She loved and hugged on our three girls and she will be dearly missed!
