Susan Beck Obituary
Miss Susan Beck, age 62 of Decatur, passed away on December 26, 2025, at her residence.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Union FCM Cemetery with Bro. Doyce Putman officiating. Interment to follow in Union FCM Cemetery.
Miss Beck was born in Boaz, Alabama on January 12, 1963, to Thomas N. Beck Jr. and Bonnie Kilpatrick Beck. She was a Psychology Professor at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville. Susan loved Alabama Football and she attended all the home games. She volunteered at various organizations and she was very active with The Salvation Army in Decatur.
Miss Beck is survived by Mother: Bonnie Kilpatrick Beck of Boaz. Sister: Vicky Beck George of Phenix City. Brother: Patrick & Mechelle Beck of Priceville. Nieces & Nephews: Thomas George, Matthew George, Noah Beck and Emma Beck. Aunts: Carolyn Kilpatrick of Huntsville, Janice Beck of Guntersville. She is also survived by a host of other family members, friends and former students.
Miss Beck was preceded in death by her Father: Thomas N. Beck, Jr... Brother-in-Law: Joseph W. George, Sr. Grandparents: Emmett & Ozella Kilpatrick, Thomas N. Beck, Sr. & Ester Smith Beck. Aunts & Uncles: Wendell Kilpatrick, J.P. Beck, Thelma Sampson, Ilene Rains, Rayburn Beck and Alton Beck.
The family requests no flowers. Donations in her name can be sent to Union FCM cemetery fund (262 Double Bridges Road Boaz, Alabama 35957) or to The Susan Beck Memorial Scholarship at www.wsccfuturefoundation.org/susanbeck
