Susan Bonner, born January 17, 1963, walked into the arms of Jesus on November 16, 2025, passing peacefully at home surrounded by the greatest treasures of her life - her three daughters, who held her as she took her final breath. She left this world exactly as she lived in it: wrapped in love.

She entered heaven joyfully welcomed by the family she longed to see again - her husband and the love of her life, Hoke Bonner; her beloved daughter, Misty Cooper; and her father, Johnny Miles. What a beautiful reunion it must have been.

Susan leaves behind a family who will forever carry her light. She is survived by her mother, Faye Ackerman of Hartselle, Alabama, her sister, Anne Miles of Falkville, Alabama and her three daughters, who were her entire world and the reason she fought her battle with cancer with such unimaginable strength: Candace Rhule of Loganville, Georgia, Tabby McDonald of Cullman, Alabama, and Natalie Choran of Gardendale, Alabama.

She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each one blessed to have been loved by her. To them, she was the most wonderful Nana - warm, bright, present, and endlessly giving.

Susan was the epitome of goodness - the most amazing mom, Nana, and friend anyone could ever hope for. She loved fiercely, laughed easily, and brought color and joy into every space she entered. Making people happy was her gift, and she gave it freely. She was truly an angel on earth, and now she is an angel in heaven, finally free from pain and suffering.

The world is dimmer without her, and those who love her will never be the same. But her family takes comfort in knowing she is whole again, wrapped in eternal peace, reunited with the ones she missed so deeply.

Susan will be forever missed, forever loved, and forever remembered. Our life on earth will never be the same, but we know we will be reunited again.

A Visitation will be held at Peck Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 from 5-6 PM and a Memorial Service will be following at 6 PM in the Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
