Susan Michelle Bowar

Susan Michelle Bowar, 72, of Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Pembrooke in West Chester.

Born in West Chester, PA on May 3, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Charles Crossley and Margaret Emma (Johnson) Dixon. Sue graduated from Downingtown High School with the Class of 1971. She worked in Human Resources for Chester County. Sue was an active member of the Republican Committee in Chester County. She loved her backyard pool and spending time there with family and friends. She also loved elephants, and was a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Surviving is her daughter Tristan Mullikin (Ryan) of Downingtown, step-son Ben Bowar (Daria); former spouse and caretaker Bob Bowar; grandchildren Aidan and Mack Mullikin; a brother Denny Dixon (Diane) and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Marissa Mullikin, and her siblings Corky Dixon, Judy Dixon Osborne and Michael Dixon.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 11 AM at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Visitation will be from 9:45 – 10:45 AM prior to the service. Interment will be private.
