Susan Cann Obituary

Susan Cann, 77, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully on October 31st, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born the daughter of Bob and Evelyn Greene of Wilmington, VT, who created a loving home, and an appreciation for life, the outdoors, and family. Susan grew up with her four beloved brothers, Rob, John, Joel, and Peter, and her Vermont upbringing shaped her strong and loving character.

The love of her life was her husband, Bob, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful life and enjoyed traveling the world, creating countless cherished memories.

Susan was also a dedicated scientist, retiring after a long and distinguished career at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. She was exceptionally proud of her work, her contributions, and the lifelong friends she made during her many years there.

Her greatest joy was her family. She was the loving mother of two children and their spouses, Scott and his wife Raquel Yzaguirre of Sudbury, MA, and Stephanie, and her husband Randy Pike of W. Halifax, VT. She was also the adored grandmother of her four grandchildren, Malcolm, Aidan, Liam & Wayde. She also adored her nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and cherished her time with them, especially on their weekly Zoom sessions.

We will all miss her dearly and will carry with us the memory of her, her love for life, and the good times we shared with family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at the White House Inn in Wilmington, VT on Saturday, November 15, from 2-6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
