Susan Capo Obituary

Published by Legacy on Apr. 30, 2025.
Susan M. Capo, 78, of Land O' Lakes, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in the Bronx, New York, Susan spent many cherished years on Long Island before relocating to Florida in 2001. She dedicated much of her professional life to education, first as a School Secretary at Sts. Philip & James Catholic School, and later as a paraprofessional at Citrus Park Elementary School.
A woman of deep faith and creativity, Susan was a devoted Catholic who found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a remarkable artistic flair, whether she was knitting, sewing, decorating, baking, or tending to her plants. An avid reader, she was a member of her local book club. But above all, Susan's greatest joy came from her family, whom she loved dearly and spent as much time with as possible.
Susan is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 57 years, Robert (Bob) Capo, and their children: Brian Capo (Nikki Ryder), Craig Capo (Lisa Riley), Keith Capo (predeceased), Jennifer Sondermann (Jason), and Kevin Capo (Ivy Tran). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Taylor, Emily, Lauren, Brayden, Brennen, Chloe, Ryan, Sean, Makenzie, and Emery. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Beleck, as well as many other cherished friends and family.
Susan's warmth, creativity, and generous spirit touched the lives of many and will be remembered with love by all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, May 5 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church 2348 Collier Parkway Land O'Lakes, Florida 34639 at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
