Susan Nicole Carden, born on June 15, 1981, in Lake Wales, Florida, passed away on November 29, 2025, in Indian Lake Estates, Florida.
She worked in the service department for Everglades Equipment and proudly served in the Army Reserve. Susan was a vibrant soul who enjoyed the outdoors and had a passion for riding four wheelers. From a young age, she was known for her athleticism, playing every sport possible during her high school years. Her talent and hard work were recognized when she received a scholarship for softball, and she took first place in the 1998 Lake Wales Art Show, achievements she held dear.
She leaves behind her beloved children, Lilyian Smith, CJ Smith, Jr., and Kameron Smith. Susan is also survived by her brothers, Jerry M. Carden, Jr. and his wife Lisa, and Shawn Carden and his wife Nichole, niece, Annabeth Carden, nephews, Chris Carden and Miles Carden, as well as her loving parents, Jerry and Virginia Carden, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service to honor Susan's life will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Up At The Cross Church in Lake Wales. Condolences can be sent to www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.
