Susan Carter

Susan Young Carter, age 54, of Savannah, Georgia passed away Friday, October 3, 2025 at her residence after a short illness. She was born in Hawkinsville, Georgia June 2, 1971 to James Entrekin and Brenda Prince Entrekin. She made Alma her home for several years before moving to Savannah for work.

Mrs. Carter was District Manager for Hardee's and a member of Ten Mile Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Glenn Liston Carter; four children, Joshua Young (Courtney) of Hazlehurst, Trent Young (Abby), Joel Young (Rebeca) of Savannah and Samantha Thornton (Derrick) of Alma; four grandchildren, Emma, Lawton, Anna Kate & Lenzie; brothers, Ricky Entrekin (Beth) of Danville and Tony Entrekin (Shanna) of Sumner; several nieces and nephews and her grand dog, Enzo.

Susan wanted people attending to dress like they were going to a celebration not a funeral. She specifically requested that people dress colorful and not feel the need to wear only black. Susan was of life and wanted her home going to reflect the same.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday (October 7, 2025) at 2:00 PM at Ten Mile Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday at the church from 1:00 PM until service time.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lewis Cancer Center.

Active pallbearers will be Joshua Young, Trent Young, Joel Young, Derrick Thornton, Brendan Entrekin and Jacob Entrekin. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Entrekin &Ricky Entrekin.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
