Publish in a newspaper

Susan Elizabeth Cobb, 77, of Evansville, was received into the loving arms of her Savior on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the Heart to Heart Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Before she left this world, she shared comforting words with her family, saying, "Don't cry for me, I'm going to heaven."
Sue was born on December 3, 1947, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the late Paul and Grace Garland. She worked for the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles for many years and retired as the manager of the Highway 41 North location. In addition to her career with the BMV, Sue was also a dedicated member of the team at Kokie's Catering, where she worked for over 30 years and made many lifelong friends.
The most important things in Sue's life were her faith and her family-those God gave her and those she chose along the way through her church, her work, and her friendships. She is a current member of First Christian Church Evansville, where her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life.
Surviving is her daughter, Tammy Belcher; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kristin Cobb; her former husband and great friend, William Joseph Cobb; sisters, Paula Kovar and Wendy (Jim) Winks; brother, Lynford (Pat) Garland; five grandchildren, Sean (Tina) Belcher, Sarah (Steven) Locchetta, Jonah (Rachel) Cobb, Emily (Justin) Whitcomb, and Jacob (Isabelle) Cobb; and ten great-grandchildren, Kenley, Leia, Ryker, Winter, Noah, Maverick, Ellie, and Alexander, with Hudson and Noelle both on the way.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her twin brother, John Garland.
Sue's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staffs of Deaconess Gateway Hospital Tower A 6th floor and Heart to Heart Hospice for all of their kind and compassionate care.
There will be a service celebrating Sue's life held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at First Christian Church. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Mission Team, 2845 Beaumont Drive, Evansville, IN 47725.
Condolences may be made online at www.pierrefuneralhome.com.
