Susan D. Davis

Susan D. Davis, 71, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Miles Davis, Jr., passed away April 20, 2015 at her home. She was born in McComb, Mississippi on January 8, 1944, daughter of the late Charlie Downs & Rosamae Broomfield. Susan grew up in a family of five children in the South and came to Connecticut in her early teens. She worked for CT Transit for 36 years retiring in August of 2013. Those left to treasure her memory include her three children, Leland E. Davis, Tondra Davis, and Stella Weathers and her husband Dr. Ron Weathers; two brothers, Charles A. Downs & Johnny L. Downs, and two sisters, Mary A. Downs and Bonnye B. Daley; four grandchildren, Ebony McAllister, Isaac Rush, Tina Rush, and Jamael Davis; and many great-grandchildren. A home going service will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor.
