Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tom M. Wages Funeral Service - Lawrenceville on Dec. 19, 2025.
Susan Bursey Eadie, age 81, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Friday, December 12, after a short battle with lung cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, William, daughter, April, niece, Mary (Kent) Allen, nephew, Michael (Colleen) Vaden, and several other beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Bursey, uncle and aunt, Marshall and Elsie Carper, brother, Walter (Sonny) Bursey, and sister, Sandi Morton. Originally from Winchester, Virginia, Susan moved to California after marrying the love of her life in October 1969, and eventually settled outside Atlanta, Georgia, where she lived for 53 years. She worked for Intecolor as a Human Resources Director, and later for the Gwinnett County Board of Health. After retirement, she spent many hours volunteering in her daughter's kindergarten classroom and at Northside Gwinnett Hospital. She was generous to a fault, often supplying educational resources for her daughter's class. She loved playing Bunco with the neighborhood ladies and taking walks with her faithful Schnauzer, Dudley. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Wages Funeral Home, 120 Scenic Highway, Lawrenceville GA 30046. All are welcome to share stories or tributes. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 10th from 1:00PM until the time of service at 2:00PM In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in Susan's memory to the Grayson Elementary Care Team to support students in need: Grayson Elementary School, 460 Grayson Pkwy, Grayson GA 30017.
