Susan C. Fellios (nee Sparrow)
Age 64 of Mokena, IL passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL. Susan was born in Blue Island, IL to Mary (nee Barker) and the late Ernest Sparrow.
Beloved wife of Charles C. Fellios; loving mother of Elizabeth (Salvatore) Maida and Theodore Fellios; cherished grandmother “Wonna” of Celestine Maida; dear sister of Jane Himmel, Anne Murphy, Donna (late Kenneth) Muehlbacher, and Nancy (Billy) Baker; loved aunt, cousin, and friend of many.
Susan was a special education resource teacher in the New Lenox School District for 23 years, working at Haines Elementary, Martino Junior High, and finally Liberty Junior High where she retired from in 2020. Susan started the co-teaching model at Martino Junior High. She enjoyed golfing, traveling, and sewing. Susan loved spending time with family and friends, but especially her granddaughter. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 3:00pm until time Service at 7:00pm.
