Susan Ann Gibbs (Mudd) was born on January 26, 1940 to the late William LeRoy Mudd and Mary Etropia Shockency Mudd. She was baptized in the Catholic faith at an early age. She went to be with Heavenly Father on March 30, 2025.
She attended St. Mary for her early education then later graduated from Catholic High in Lebanon, KY. She moved to Louisville to be with her late husband, Ray Thomas Gibbs, Sr.; together they had children.
She worked for the Housing Authority for 32 years. She enjoyed fishing, going to yard sales, riding on boats, working crossword puzzels and watching her favorite show The Young and the Restless.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Mary D. Mudd (Dee Dee) and Rosalind Sowen "Ros", 3 sisters, 3 brothers and one grandson, Mechall Acuff "MeMe".
Susan leaves to mourn her death her children, Ray Gibbs, Jr., Katherine Gibbs, Phyllis Acuff and Christopher Gibbs and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 10am-12pm with a celebration of Susan's life beginning at 12pm.
