I met Susan in the 80's where we worked at Allstate. We stayed in touch by e-mails and Christmas cards over the years after she had left Allstate. It's been couple of years since I have not received an e-mails thinking it was due to Covid where she didn't want go to the library to use the computer. Christmas card was returned this year, so I had to look her up why? I'm sad to find this Legacy website that Susan had left us. We had good time working together, going to Magic Castles, dim sum for lunch, meeting her cats she had rescued, etc. She was a kind hearted soul. Miss you.

I worked at the Covina Public Library. Sue came in daily to use the computers. Her passion was volunteering for the Los Angeles County Fair every year. Rest in peace dear Sue. You deserve it.

Susie was always kind and had such a love for animals and so much empathy. She cried with me when my fur baby, Molly, passed away. I knew her from high school. She was always the one to organize an event. She was private about her life but cared about others. I will miss you Susie.......Dee Shawhan...❤

Although I knew Sue for 30+ years, we only kept in touch by computer and mail for the past 20 since I moved out of state. She would send me beautiful music boxes for Christmas which I treasure. Heart Hugs, Sue!

I met Sue at the Covina Library. A few times we talked about Covina & volunteer service. I told her about the Covina Christmas Parade Committee. She joined and loved being a part of Christmas Tree Lighting Night & Covina Christmas Parade. She was funny & smart and lvoed animals. I will miss talking with my friend.

Sue was such a champion for Covina... such a supporter of those things that particularly enrich a city... the library... the Covina Christmas parade... and how she cared for children and animals. There are many memories, but it is her smile and the sparkle in her eyes when sharing about these things that she was most passionate. I can still see her speaking with people at the parade booth in Covina park about the parade and tree-lighting... it was like she was sharing a magical children's story. I, too, had to stop and listen to this amazing tale she was telling. Sue, I believe, often thought that she didn't matter or was someone of little consequence... but it was just the opposite. Sue is unforgettable... her strong will... her joyfulness... her humor... Sue made her presence known... and she will be missed. Sue was faithful to these volunteer commitments... made most meetings... made every parade... and mostly, made us all remember what is important... that we can't do life without each other... everyone matters... everyone counts. Thank you, Sue, for being one of my number one fans, and sharing your support and encouragement with me. You are missed. Much love, Joelle.

My condolences to your family. It was a pleasure to work with you. There was not an event or supporting activity where you didnt reach out to me instill the social and cultural norm that accompanied a feature or activity that reflected the population that would attend. I appreciate all the time that you spent with me. You were and continue to be a valuable asset to thread of your community. You shall always live in our memories.

You were so very helpful in so many ways and you gave your whole heart to everything that you did. Your great smile that sparkled when you joked with someone is what Ky and I remember as we think of you. You were an amazing woman who loved deeply and gave everything to others. You were a true volunteer and friend who never asked for anything in return. I hope you are resting well Sue, I will be missing you dearly every Parade meeting and visit to the Library.

Susan.....I will miss seeing your little self on parade night on Second Avenue. I will miss picking you up at the Judges stand to take you to your car. I will miss your little smile when I saw you at the meetings. It will be strange not to see you at the parade meetings, sitting in the front row, so you don't miss any important details. Thank you so much for everything you have done and given (with your whole heart) to our City. You will truly be missed by all of us who had the wonderful privilege of knowing you. Rest now, our dear friend.

Everyday I walk into the library I still expect to see you at your desk, typing away at your computer, inputting all of our incoming donations. I'm grateful for the time we had you with us, it was a gift getting to know you and talking about our four-legged children as well as the on-goings of everyday life. You are dearly missed, not just by me but by the staff and all the children who came to Paws. Love you, Krizia.
